Goal setting is important.ย In the process of creating 10 year, 5 year, 3 year, and 1 year goals, remember to focus on what you can do today.
I start my days with a yellow notepad.ย My morning entry begins with “today I will…”.ย I write 5 items I want or need to accomplish today.ย at least one of those has to be moving my annual goals forward.
At night, I sit down again with my yellow pad and I write, “Today I accomplished…”. I then write five items I accomplished.ย I love seeing the two lists aligned next to each other.ย It helps me feel good about myself and what i’ve set out to do.ย It’s motivation for tomorrow.ย It produces good rest and primes my mind to work for me while asleep.
