Today, I’d like to focus on the “Risk” line item.
This is often the place I hold back.ย I’m a calculated risk taker.ย It doesn’t come naturally to me.ย I like having a plan for the possibilities.ย If you’re like me, you also know you can’t possibly plan for ALL of the possibilities.ย But for me, having a plan helps ease the mind and allows me to take that risk, knowing there is *a* plan in place.
The point here is knowing that risks are a part of the process, even with your health and well-being.ย You need to be willing to risk changing your routine to grow.ย You may be afraid to get adjusted and consider it a risk.ย Then you get into care and realize the risk was all in your head.
Another part of risk-taking is commitment.ย A sure way to eliminate risk is full commitment to your process.ย No matter what comes, what obstacle, what road block you face, you are committed to finding a way over, under, through or around that obstacle.ย Regardless of how long a process will take, have commitment to the end result.
Similar to commitment, FOCUS is a key component to risk-taking.ย You have to keep your eyes on that end.ย Dr. Sid Williams, DC called it ‘The Vision of the Far’.ย And as that which is far becomes near, keep your focus and don’t let up until you’ve achieved your goal.
Risk-taking leads to success.ย If you want to be successful you must take risks.ย It’s that simple.
