Last week, I wrote about fear vs confidence and achieving a state of peace. This does not negate or conflict with defense.
When you are physically wronged, you have the right to defend yourself. The aggressor deserves the full weight of our might. But we need a steady hand on the switch that can handle much punishment prior to setting defenses in motion.
“Short Fuses” are a challenge in today’s world. Far too many people have them and that has created a society where many are triggered easily. They have unsteady hands on their own switch.
To steady our hand we need internal peace. The more internal peace the more of us have, the greater the amount of global peace. Internal peace comes from knowing the infinite God and accepting His greatness in the universe.
