Are we consistently giving Thanks?
I consistently tell my wife, Suzy, that she is Godโs masterpiece. I thank her for having the various creative skills she has. She makes artwork, and crafts that brighten our home, She repairs broken things. She connects with our kids in ways that I havenโt been able to.
She also finds ways to support my weaknesses, mostly dealing with how emotions affect me and the circumstances that face. Her perspectives are things that I donโt seeโฆ
Let me be current and specific. Our daughter, Faith, is now engaged to be married. When this was just a conversation it was brought to me and I was not on board. Our daughter is 17 years old. Iโm thinking about life, college, how will they (he ) provide food, shelter, transportation. Once all of that was on the table, it was about life, support, family, how will they face lifeโs challenges, children. Suzy brought these conversations to Faith. She has always been the liaison between Faith and I. But Suzy getโs both of us. and knows how to communicate with both of us. She helps Faith and I connect. She helped bring me to the point of seeing the good and connect with the joy.
For this, everyday when I wake and before falling asleep, I give thanks for Suzy. She is the first and last thing on my mind each day.
What are you thankful for? How do you express this gratitude?
