Did you ever stop and think of all the little steps it takes to do the simple things in life? For example, when we flip a light switch up, the lights come on; but what are all the little steps it takes to do that?
For those of us in the northeast, our power source is Niagara Falls. As the water flows over the cliff it turns a turbine which produces energy. This energy is sent over wires to Connecticut, your town, then to your street. It then flows through a transformer to convert it to usable electricity within your house.Once in your house it enters the switch box and continues to the light fixture where it connects with a different wire that is inherent to the light fixture. The electricity flows down this wire and into a filament in the bulb and heats the filament. The heated filament produces a chemical reaction that produces light.
That light must pass through the opening in our eye, then be condensed inside the eye and focused onto a nerve ending. That nerve ending then transmits the light signal to the vision center of the brain. It actually passes through your optic nerve in your eye, into and through a part of your brain stem and then into your brain for interpretation.A signal registers within the brain that says, โThat is light.โYour brain then sends a signal to the eyes via the optic nerve/brain stem again that says let in more light/less lightโฆetc.
A blockage at any one of the above steps produces no light. The most common location of interference is when the switch is โoff;โ it blocks the electricity from flowing over the wires and produces no light. That off switch is a subluxation to the light fixture and the fixture is therefore not well.
Your brain is the bodyโs power generator, your thoughts the electricity, your nerves the wires, your spine the switch, and your organs and muscles the light fixtures. What would result if the above scenario happened inside the body?Would it produce health (light) or sickness (no light)?Would the organ or muscle work?Would that be bad or good?
Your sciatic nerve is the wiring for your legs.If the power to the legs were turned off would the muscles contract and let you walk?Imagine not being able to walk.Picture it for a moment. What does that feel like?Is it a positive or negative experience? How are you going to get the power turned back on?
If there were a subluxation cutting the power to your heart would it beat well?Who do you know with heart problems? If their heart isnโt beating well do you think they could be subluxated? If so, who can help them?
Your pancreas produces insulin, if the power to your pancreas were turned off (subluxation), would it produce insulin? What is it called when your body doesnโt produce insulin? How would you know if they are subluxated or not?
Chiropractic turns LIFE on inside the body.It helps people function at their fullest potential. It helps you be well as long as you are with it.How long you want to be well determines how long youโll receive Chiropractic care.
