People always ask, โWhat exercise is bestโ or โwhat exercise should I doโ or โWhat should I be eating?โ What matters more is, โIs my nerve system working up to par?โ Regardless of what exercise you do or what you eat, if your nerve system is NOT working optimally, you will not receive the benefits of the exercise or nutrition. To put it in a positive sense, proper function of your nerve system allows you to exercise and eat well.
The beauty of this is that when your nerve system is clear, you are clear and youโll know for yourself, internally what exercise is right for you and what nutritional elements you need. Itโs all about being present with your inner self. When you are present with your innate and God you will automatically KNOW what is right for you and you wonโt need to ask.
Back in January, I was wondering the very same questions. I knew that I had not exercised for almost a year and that my nutrition had taken a break. So I prayed about what I needed to do to best serve all of you, my family, God, etc. I got quiet, I had my spine and nerve system checked more frequently to be sure that I was clear and not โjust thinking.โ What came back to me was that I was to do two things that appall me, run and drink juice.
In the past I wasnโt a runner. I was slow and any time I ran, my knees and ankles would hurt. I could hardly run a quarter mile without feeling the pain. About a week before I began running in March, I received a call from my cousin who set a goal to run a 10 mile road race in July as the culmination of his 40 lbs weight loss program. He was hoping I would partner up and run it with him. I knew then why I was to run. I began running in March and within six weeks I was up to 3 miles. The very next week I ran 6 miles and four weeks later, 10 miles. Each run has helped me change who I am, internally. I feel a connectedness that I had felt in the past. It is different and deeper now. To date, my cousin has lost over 30 pounds with about 7 weeks to lose the remaining 10 pounds.
Before some of you go out and begin a running program or attempt to lose 40 pounds in three months ask yourself, what does this story tell me? How does it speak to me? Ask, what do I need to change? Who do I need to be? Then the โdoโ piece of the puzzle, (the exercise, nutrition) will come naturally. You will lock it in, internally and it will be a spiritual change, deep down. It will be a commitment to God and you and you will succeed, regardless of what I or anyone else tells you.
Regardless, you need a spine and nerve system working up to par in order to be optimally healthy.
