A couple of weeks ago, the state of CT stood still and watched as the Dept of Transportation workers dismantled and moved a new bridge into place over a weekend. The traffic was difficult, but the job got done quickly. It’s amazing what happens when you believe something can be done… But why did they need to do it anyway? The bridge was only 50 or so years old and many bridges last longer than it did. So why did it need to be replaced?
Just like a subluxated spine the bridge itself had fallen into disrepair. It was ignored and not maintained well. Similarly, like a subluxated spine that deteriorates into arthritis, the bridge had collected rust throughout its frame. The girders were beginning to bend like unhealthy nerves and it was no longer safe for the 80,000 drivers.
Let’s be sure to learn our lesson about our spine and nerve system from the CT DOT. You only have one spine, there is no such thing as a spine replacement or a nerve replacement. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Be sure to maintain them during the entire course of your life, prevent arthritis from setting in. Keep the power moving over your nerves to keep your life running smoothly.
