Remember back to the last time you stubbed your toe.ย What were you doing the split second before and after you stubbed it?
The last time I stubbed my toe I was looking for my keys.ย I was so focused on finding them that I was completely UNconscious.ย This means I had zero AWARENESS.ย I didn’t actually SEE the table in front of me or how close I was to it.
Then I stubbed my toe and the pain brought me back into conscious awareness.ย All of a sudden I became aware of the table I just kicked, the couch in front me, and the chair to the left.ย I felt the carpet below my other foot and I knew exactly where each of the kids were at that moment.ย THEN, after all of that, it HURT.
It is those conscious moments that we seek to improve and help you have more of with Chiropractic.ย Just as stubbing your toe snaps you back into awareness, the adjustment solidifies in your mind the last thing you have in it as you are adjusted.ย Always have good, healthy, beneficial thoughts in your mind before, during and after your adjustment.ย Clear the symptoms out of your mind and SEE what you are doing NOW that you ARE healthy.
What is different?ย WHO ARE you?ย What are you DOing?ย How does that feel?ย (is it exciting, is it energizing, is it good?)ย (NOT: I feel better or I have no pain, rather get into that state and that moment of NOW)
