As I was driving to NFC today, I was closely followed by a person driving a bright blue mini cooper. It was obvious that they were in a hurry. No matter the reason, they stayed about two feet away from my back bumper and then as soon as we turned on to Rt. 44, they hit the gas and passed me at high-speed.ย But that’s not all….
Apparently their urgent appointment could wait long enough to stop in the middle of the road; right in front of me!ย After that, they spent the next minute crawling along!ย They were moving so slowly the car behind me passed the both of us. I couldnโt help but think what had happened to their urgency?
In a moment where the stress to reach a certain goal was running high, the goal itself was lost. The driver ended up thwarting their own purpose in the processโthey were even later to their destination.
And what of their larger purpose? The goals they have for their entire life surely extend past the time of this appointment. A fatal car accident would take away the opportunity to achieve these goals in an instant.
It is easy to fall into the same trap regarding our own health. Caught up in specific details, we can get off track of our larger purpose. Why do you want to be healthy? Is your goal really to be rid of your neck pain, asthma, allergies, or whatever it may be?
What is your destination in life? Is it the same place that youโre headed right now?ย If not, you’re subluxated and need to be checked.
