One of my favorite movies is “For the Love of the Game” starring Kevin Costner.
Costner portrays pitcher Billy Chapel at the end of a 19-year baseball career. While on the mound, Chapel thinks about his life, relationships, and career while in the midst of a perfect game. During the course of the game, Chapel recites the line, “clear the mechanism” to help him focus.
