Iโd like to expand upon the BE-DO-HAVE principle as we enter the New Year. In short, who we BE determines what we DO providing us with what we HAVE. Another way to view this principle is the biblical principle of sowing and reaping.
For example, sowing the seeds of health allows you to reap the rewards of BE-ing healthy. In other words if you want health, you must first decide to BE healthy; you must sow the seeds of health. In the sowing youโll DO healthy actions and youโll get to HAVE (or reap) health. BE-ing is far more than wanting or knowing or saying. It IS. You BE.
The DO is always your commitment to your BE. When you are committed to BE-ing healthy, you will take healthy actions like adjustments, nutrition, and exercise; youโll engage yourself with your family and friends, attend worship services, save money, etc. Then, you get to HAVE what ever it is you BE.
You always HAVE what you BE. If you donโt like what you have, change your BE. It never works the other way around. What we HAVE can never change who we BE. It is the BE that always comes first.
What do you want to HAVE in life? Who do you need to BE first?
