The human life works best when properly stressed and encouraged to grow. ย Be they relationships, exercise or immunity. It is our perspective on a situation that matters.
โGoodโ example:
A married couple decides to have children. In doing so they add a new member to their family. The child requires attention encouragement. (S)he takes up time and energy. Mom and dad learn to communicate better, become more direct, open, and honest with each other.
โBadโ example:
The same couple have the same child with the same stresses. One parent comes home from work stressed and angry and yells at the other parent constantly. The other parent fires back having been home with junior all day and working their job also. One parent thinks itโs the others fault and the solution is to find a new mate.
What changed?
Hereโs a second example:
Player one decides to train five days a week. (S)he runs โfive milesโ per day, takes a thousands shots, hits a wall and breaks through to betterment.
Same player one, performs the same routine, hits the wall and collapses and gives up on training all together.
Whatโs the difference?
Final example:
Two people sitting at the same dinner table, eating the same food, breathing the same air. The interact with the same people with minor variations. Normally, they walk the same dog around the same neighborhood at the same time.
Person one gets out during a pandemic, READS scientific research, searches their heart for truth, lives their life as per usual.
Person two shuts themselves indoors. Doesnโt interact with anyone for 12-16 weeks. Breathes the same recycled air, has their food delivered and wonโt answer the door for anyone.
Who is sick?
Any of us can be either person one or person two from the examples above. If you want to change or improve your life, make adjustments to to mind. Keep your routines and live your life. By changing your perspective, the same situation is experienced differently by the same person.
