With the Thanksgiving holiday approachingย us, we will be giving thanks in the office for all that has been this past year. ย Please come in and fill out a feather to add to our Thanksgiving turkey. ย With that in mind, this month’s edition of “5 Reasons Why Chiropractic…” features all the reasons our favorite Thanksgiving friend (and meal) needs (and wants) Chiropractic.
1. ย It’sย better to beย subluxated than dead.
How would you like to be a Thanksgiving turkey spending your short life fattening up for a holiday meal. ย I bet most turkeys would rather be like us, alive and eating, rather than the centerpiece everyone gathers around. ย With that in mind, isn’t it better to be sublaxated than dead? ย Would you rather be clear than subluxated? ย Walking around subluxated is definitely quickening the process of life and getting adjusted on a regular basis adds life to your years and years to your life.
2.ย When your head and neck are found in your body cavity, you already have a subluxation
I remember when I was a kid and my grandfather would pull the giblets out of the turkey and chase us around the house with them. ย It both scared us and brought laughter to the house. ย Have you ever felt your head was in a fog? ย Ever felt like your memory is evaporating? ย Or, have you found yourself wonderingย “what was I thinking?” ย It is very likely you are subluxated in those situations. ย Our friends might put it another way that is less appropriate for a family setting. ย If you ever hear that from them, or find yourself thinking the same thing, it’s time to get checked by your chiropractor.
3.ย If you find yourself massing yourย musclesย with herbal butter, you may be subluxated
I love preparing Thanksgiving dinner, it really is one of my favorite activities during the year. ย I typically prepare an herbal butter made with Thyme and Sage and rub it on the turkey meat, under the skin. ย I find it prevents the meat from drying out and the flavor is amazing. ย When you find yourself rubbing sports creams and wearing icy-hot patches for your aches and pains, it’s time to get checked by your Chiropractor. ย It may be that you are sore due to over use, but you may also be subluxated. ย Only a Chiropractor is trained toย tell the difference.
4.ย Blunt force trauma due to stuffing
Two time honored Thanksgiving traditions are over eating and football. ย Let’s focus on the later… Thatย annual family game in your yard or at the local field is going to result in subluxation. I know these games are “two hand touch”, but if it’s anything like our family, it’s more like “two-hand touch until they hit the ground.” ย Such games need to be followed up with a trip to your Chiropractor.
On the over-eating side, after you wake from your food-induced coma and are still feeling groggy, follow the rest of your family to your Chiropractor. ย Adjustmentsย help eliminate all of the toxins from the the food additives that inhibit and slow nerve (neural) function.
5.ย Because carving a bird is just like surgery
When we are carving up the breast meat, we utilize aย carving knife and produce some elegantly shaped oval cuts as we follow the grain of the meat and bones. ย Even though it is quick, the finesse involved in carving and slicing a bird isย akin to a Chiropractor “reading” your spine. ย We work our way up and down your spine feeling each bone, sensing the tone in each muscle, the tone in your life, knowing exactly where to adjust you and how in order to release the potential you have within yourself.
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday season. ย While it may be a single day, giving thanks every day makes a world of difference in life. Thank you for being members in our office and forming meaningful relationships with us.
Yours in life,
Dr. Brian
