We are all in positions of authority as well as positions under authority. ย We must always be sure we are in the proper frame and know our standing so as to properly respond in a given situation.
We are all inpositions of authority as parents. ย Our children are to respond to us in an obedient manner. ย But have we โEarnedโ that obedience? ย Are we constantly yelling at them, scolding them expecting them to do something without instruction or guidance? ย Do we expect too much of them? ย In other words, are we (properly) respecting them with age appropriate tutaledge? ย Itโs one thing to be an authority and another to be a dictator.
Same goes when you are a business owner or a โbossโ towards the employees in your keep. ย You are all part of a team and when all members are working together, the team succeeds; the business builds, and customers are happy.
Similarly, when you are an employee, grant your owner or โbossโ proper respect. ย Realize that you may not be given all of the information, but what you have been given in vital to the success of the team. ย They are in their positions because someone has trusted they are the right person to do exactly what is necessary for the business to thrive.
So it is withour children. ย If we expect them to be obedient, we must demonstrateย obedience. ย Obedience to our โbossโ, to our doctor, to our leaders. ย Yes, questions are appropriate, so long as they are discussion rather than arguments or emotional outbursts. ย Accept explanations and if holes need filling in, ask; or fill them in with prayer and meditationโฆ When we get quiet, our innates provide the connection needed for the correct response.
