Iโd like to address three items that have come up in the past month or so, all having to do with pain relief and what happens when you are subluxated. ย All three have their pros and cons…
Inversion tables: ย When clear, these are great for pain relief. ย They distract the spine in a passive manner and are easy to get in and out of. ย They are very reasonably priced and most are portable. ย When subluxated, they can lead to disc herniations or worse.
Pain Relievers: ย The classic treatment for pain. ย Cheap and effective to take the edge off. ย When subluxated, these cause internal liver, kidney and or stomach damage. ย They can also be addictive. ย When clear the body is going to process the medication more effectively and efficiently leading to fewer side effects and aiding the cause of already or soon to become damaged organs.
Physical Therapy/Exercise: ย These are great when clear as they can improve muscle strength and elasticity. ย In my opinion, everyone should be on some level of exercise routine. ย If you need a coach, get a trainer or a Phyical Therapist who can monitor your progress and help make adjustments when needed. When subluxated, exercise and therapy place added pressure on an already weakened spine (because itโs subluxated) leading to futher damage and interference.
In summary do what you need to do for pain relief in between your adjustments. ย For some that will mean an inversion table, some it will mean taking medication, others physical therapy/exercise. ย There are other options that I havenโt discussed here. ย You need to find what works for you as there is no silver bullet nor is there a โflow chartโ to help figure it out. ย Pain relief is so unique to the individual, I am personally and professionally reluctant to offer advice to this concern. ย Given all of the possible options, Iโm all but garaunteed to be wrong in my advice.
Regardless of your chosen method of relief, your adjustments turn on lifeโs internal power so that you listen to your body better, become more aware of it, allowing it to work better.
Subluxation interferes with the power and abilities of the body.
Adjustments remove subluxations making the body more effective and efficient.
